The internet is asking if there is any conflict between these two after Willow Smith abruptly resigned out of Billie Eilish’s Happier Than Ever Tour and unfollowed Billie on Instagram.
When you unfollow someone on social media, you know it’s serious, right? Willow Smith has unfollowed Billie Eilish from her Instagram account, making her list of followers one member less. When someone unfollows someone else, it’s usually a bad indication, so what’s up with these two? This is all happening as a result of Willow’s decision to withdraw from Billie’s tour as an opener.
Willow was supposed to be the tour’s opening when it kicked off yesterday, February 9th, in Washington, D.C. On the North American leg of the Happier Than Ever tour, she was set to perform for 11 dates.
“Due to production difficulties, I am unable to put on the show that I believe you all deserve,” Willow tweeted about the whole affair. Stay safe, everyone! I love you, and I’ll see you soon!” Naturally, many individuals were taken aback by the news! “PRODUCTION LIMITATIONS?” one individual responded to Willow’s tweet. WILLOW, I JUST WANT TO HEAR YOU LIVE I’M CRYING ” “Yeaa you should clarify your rationale since it’s coming across just a wee bit bratty,” another individual who was not pleased with the announcement remarked.
When it was revealed that Willow had unfollowed Billie, this fan expressed her disappointment on I-G, saying, “Oh no, I was living for their friendship, oh well.” “I don’t understand what production she needed for 30 minutes of the programme,” another person remarked, “but it’s still highly unprofessional to cancel in less than 24 hours.” When the dust settles, it will be very interesting to see if we get more details on why Willow cancelled so last minute.
But, before anyone gets too depressed about it, Billie has other openers lined up for her tours, including Tkay Maidza, Jessie Reyez, and Arlo Parks. We haven’t heard if Willow has an official successor as of yet. Tkay Maidza will open two additional performances on the tour, Billie recently announced on her Instagram storey.
However, outside of this trip, both Willow and Billie have been booked and kept busy. Willow recently collaborated on the tracks “Emo Girl” and “Grow” with Machine Gun Kelly and Avril Lavigne. She was also voted the Comeback Artist of the Year for 2021 by Billboard. Billie, on the other hand, is selling out gigs, garnering Oscar nominations, winning Brit Awards, and casually smiling for photos with US President Barack Obama! We’re hoping whatever is going on between these two doesn’t linger forever because we’d love to hear them collaborate on a song!
